Tutorial: Chinese Opera Warrior Inspired Look!

Over spring break (which wasn’t REALLY during spring), I watched this movie (don’t know what it’s called) but it dealt with chinese opera warriors. I died for their stage makeup! So dark, pigmented, flawless, and the best part was, it concealed their identities. Their makeup really make them look so different! They really immersed themselves in the character they were playing while on stage!

Here’s a list of products I used:

FACE:

EYES, EYEBROWS, EYELASHES:

LIPS:

Tropical Fusion (tutorial)

This tutorial is using a Covergirl quad. Specifically the Tropical Fusion Eye Enhancers eyeshadow quad. The list of the products are pretty simple:

EYES:

LIPS:

This look is really simple and easy for beginners. It can be wearable everyday by using certain colors with other colors. Maybe not all together for an everyday look. If you use them altogether, they’re more loud and going out type of look.

Enjoy!

Covergirl’s Tropical Fusion Eye Enhancer’s eyeshadow quad Review

Hey there guys! So I finally was able to put up the video on this new quad I got a couple weeks ago and it’s obviously DRUGSTORE! :D I will be listing the pros and cons of the quad and if you’d like to learn more about the quad then I highly recommend that you watch the video :)

PROS:

  • Really small and compact
  • Variety of colors (nudes, smokey purples, other colors)
  • Cheap ($5 at Wal-Mart)
  • Able to keep label (It’s attached at first, but it’s perforated at the bottom so you can have both a clean cut and the label)
  • Swab holder thing
  • Colors stay true to its name
  • Buildable
  • Isn’t chalky
  • Not powdery
  • Dupable

CONS:

  • Need to use a good sticky white base
  • Could be more pigmented when applied dry (apply wet for more color pay off)
  • Not as beginner friendly because they’re not as pigmented as it could be, dry

NOT MENTIONED IN VIDEO:

  • Has a very nice velvety texture
  • Eyeshadow is soft
  • Really pigmented when applied wet and on a white base
  • Fairly easy to blend
